Introducing the Lucas Miles 'Souldigger'

Our take on the 65 Princeton Reverb has built a solid reputation amongst many pro and veteran players here in Melbourne and t'out Australia. The epitome of the Fender tone, even bass , scooped mids and bell-like chimey trebles , these glorious little gems produce a wonderful musical note that engages the players sensitivity and feel.

The Souldigger is an enhancement of our 65 Princeton. We introduce some high-end upgrades .We use pure silver solder t'out. Silver is a fabulous conductor of electrical signals. This means more signal and purer tones will pass through the various stages within the amp. Couple that with the Synergy Royal Blue coupling/tone capacitors ,some high-end power resistors and the fabulous Sozo silver mica treble capacitors. The end result sonically is more depth ,refinement  and polish.

To compliment the amp we use a  Jensen P10R Alnico vintage series speaker .The end result is a beautifully balanced organic sound, nice even lows and mids with a smooth, refined top end. ...no compromise, no budget, built to last a lifetime.

Hi Dean,

"One year in with the Souldigger. What can I say;I have owned Fender vintage amps in the past and for various reasons like us all I’m sure we have let them go for one reason or another. The Souldigger will never leave me. I have run high quality guitars through her that have single coils (Lollar), humbuckers (Seymour Duncan) and P90’s (Grosh). All sound amazing. As I continue to refine my blues/jazz/country playing having a tone partner like the Souldigger makes putting in the hours of practice a joy.You have certainly reached a master builder status and anyone considering a high quality amplifier needs to think Lucas Miles. Boutique amps are all the rage at the moment and the quality one gets with a Lucas Miles is extraordinary for the price.I tip my hat to all at Lucas Miles. Tone that goes for miles and miles and………Cheers  Mark Rosser. VIC

    Souldigger is handwired perfection

Posted by Jon Franklin on 5th Feb 2024

I've had my Souldigger for 5 months now. I contemplated buying a Fender 65 Princeton Reverb for $2100, but then saw that Lucas Miles were doing handwired versions for a few hundred more. I'm so glad I got on board. My Souldigger sounds better every time I play it. Sweet cleans or dirty break up, there's not a bad sound comes out of it. I can hear so many classic tones that are reminiscent of recordings from the 60s,70s and 80s. The pairing of this amp with the Jensen p10R alnico speaker is a match made in heaven. Lastly, I'd just like to say that your customer service is A1. Very nice people to deal with. I see Fender are currently selling a handwired 64 Princeton with similar specs to the Souldigger, but at $2000 more , why bother. Just get on the build list and order one from Dean. Money well spent.
