The Genalex Gold Lion E88CC/6922 is a premium grade selected small signal twin-triode that is a suitable replacement for all 6DJ8, ECC88, 6922, E88CC, and 7308 types. This tube features gold plated pins and is manufactured to extremely tight specifications, making it the highest quality current production E88CC/6922 available.
Bought this to replace my electro Harmonix tube as I wasn't thrilled with the sound I was getting. When I compared them, the electro Harmonix seemed to dip the mids which sounds ok in isolation, but lacked presence in the mix. The gold lion to me was a little less likeable in isolation at first until I understood how to work with it. It's highs are smoother and take eq better. The whole thing is much easier to use in a mix. I am very happy with the result!
